When I saw this question in the magazine the small skit that I did years ago with my classmates in our Broadcasting class rolled up my mind.
The skit was about the poor farmer that works in rice plantation and it’s ironic that they made food for the country but cannot set a decent meal on their own table.
I played one of the three kids of the farmer and I have to fight with my siblings when at last we had served tuyo (dried fish) and rice by our mother.
In that condition, I must say that food means FIGHTING and to say that the skit is what is really happening in my country, that is not a good sighting.
Back to my younger years, even we don’t have enough food to eat, I remember I ate rice with cooking oil and soy (I must say that I like the taste..Or I guess I have no choice but to eat it), I and my siblings didn’t fight over food. So with the rice-cooking oil- soy on our floor (we had no table at that time) I still believed that we are blessed.
And what more blessings you could ask if your mother is still feeding you when you’re already in high school?
I was in my second year and my mother was still feeding me, she was actually put the spoon into my mouth while I was wearing my socks. I thought she was only doing it because I was already late for school.
But I forgot that she was feeding the three of us (with my two other sisters) alternately from one plate of food.
It was just recently (when we’re already working) when our mother told us that we had no enough money to buy us food so she had to divide the food for the three of us, let her not to ate anything.
After hearing it from my mother, food to me becomes SHARING.

(I am having a lunch break (read; creating an entry) at working hours, I hope my employer won’t mind –I know she won’t :p–. It just that, words are spilling and I cannot contain to slip them back.)
I figured I need to have a lunch break, not literally. I always have a lunch break; everybody does even outside the Smith’s kitchen. It’s been a while, after a nerve breaking and freaking impatient feeling when you cannot think what to blog but you’re very eager to make at least one entry.
Nevertheless, sometimes I think it is silliness when you keep on bugging your mind “what to blog? What to blog!” while pulling your hair. That is not so silly anymore, that is craziness.
I said, why not stop for a while and tell myself these people blog because they have something to say and if someone doesn’t have something to say, they drift into silence or they do something else like reading a book, watching DVD’s or talk with friends or simply taking a walk.
I did all that, err no, I don’t want to drift into silence, not for now and even I started reading 4 different books I didn’t finish any one of them, I said I have to fix my mind with one and that’s I will be doing, starting today.
What great is while not blogging, I had finished 6 DVD’s in two weeks, or more, I sometimes forgetful. Never mind!
I talk with some friends and I swear talking to them was so freeing, especially when they talked about their work problem and being away from their family, I never felt so lucky this way.
I swear I am contented right now. I have some personal issues but all of these fell into pieces when you feel that you’re lucky enough to think about them.
Now, I need to go back on my turkey soup for dinner. Ciao!

Am I late for this one? I hope I`m not. We had a party here last night, and I didn`t get the chance to open my laptop anymore. It`s ironic that there was a party but I slept early lol! Imagine at 10 PM, while on the road sending home some friends, I couldn`t stop yawning?
So when I reached home, I went straight to the washroom and prepared myself to bed. With my entire pyjama on, I remember I left my purse downstairs and get it. They are having a little problem with their sing-a-long microphone so I fixed it not to realize that I will end singing a few songs.
Picture this, I was wearing pajamas with my purse in my shoulder while doing karaoke, of course I was also a laughing stock of good ole` friends of my uncle and aunt.
So, I didn`t wait for my weekly word games but I did it today…here it goes.

There is no such thing as free lunch according to some people, but there is free hosting for a year, that’s what I say, and free most adorable photo that I ever saw which I thought I would be going to steal, but the ever generous Erin dropped it in my inbox instead. Even without Stuart’s contest result yet, I feel so lucky now.
I thought their photo is awesome the first time I saw it in Erin’s blog. So sweet. So natural and I like Erin’s cheekbone eh? I remember Renee Zellwegger in Bridgitte Jones Diary (just watched it last night), I thought they have the same cheekbone.
Sometimes a girl wishes to have the same photo with their man, that includes me.
Hey, I’m human.
And I’ve been dreaming to get some snapshots (of others) like this, a stolen shot that will make (”the models”) freak out and for sure, I’ll end up in prison. Oh my GOD please forbid that to happen.
But since I don’t have any man in my life, I guess I can do the photo with Cheeky instead. We could both be sipping coffee at the same time. What other picture will come as sweet as that, tell me?
Now I am confused if which of the last two pharagraphs will come first. Okay, I am thinking. Oh, never mind.
But these, I am I would never be confused. I didn’t realize that my contest entry will be halves in two post. Here I’ll give you the prizes of Stuart’s contest:

Okay, I thought I will be posting only Stuart’s contest to win, I didn’t realize that I need to answer his four questions which are tough questions (for me…oops I see some eyebrows rising lol!)
Lately, I find myself commenting in Stuart’s blog, blame it to Cheeky and his holiday get away to Erin’s place. I am still drooling on the coffee that Erin’s prepared, so fortunate of Cheeky eh?
And I like Erin and Stuart’s photo on their cruisey six months, I want to steal it and post it here, but I realized that this entry will be posted in my Facebook notes too so I forbid myself to do that or else….I don’t know what will going to happen. I just find it so sweet, I’m sorry okay?
So, because Stuart has a big heart, bigger than the air balloon I saw one early morning outside the Smith’s kitchen, he will be giving some free hosting from his own dedicated server (are you rich, young man?) and I WANT TO WIN any of the 3 prizes he posted in his contest. But of course it is great if I GET THE FIRST PRIZE.
So why would I WANT TO WIN the FIRST PRIZE again? I have no clue lol!

Okay, call me names, anything you want. Maybe some visitors are nauseated with my constantly template altering. For just a month of being online, this blog has already used countless of wordpress template, not to mention with frequent templates changing when I started in Blogger.
I am both stubborn and indecisive, that I admit. I just can’t find a very nice template that will pass my taste, although I love the notepad theme but it’s not widget ready. That one is more stubborn than me, I supposed.
Yes, I am really stubborn. Everybody says that and this weekend my tenacity comes about…again.
I really like this Nokia N95 that displays in Source store. They are giving this smart phone out for new Rogers sign-up for only $80 with a minimum 3 year voice plan and video plan (which means I can watch TV on it).
Who needs TV on the phone? Not me. I just love the 5.0 megapixels cam that goes with it. I love to take pictures anywhere I go, and sometimes I forget to bring my digital camera, I’m sure not to leave my mobile phone, although I did a few times.
Although the Nokia Nseries were introduced to Asia last 2005-2006, it only launched here in Canada this year, but I am really dying to have that phone in my hand. Imagine $80 dollars? I love that, no ifs and no buts.

Some say that dandruff came from dirty surroundings. It may also due from improper personal hygiene. I have dandruff, aside from being so worried about my personal happiness half a world from my family, this dandruff could kill me anytime.
I had this before when I was in Singapore but my anti dandruff shampoo always saves me from this mischievous inflammatory skin disease. See, I really research this one.
When asked, some people also replied me with another question like “are you stressed, do you think a lot?” Yeah, maybe I get this from my mind that I sometimes find incessantly active - that’s scary.
However, I blame this problem with the hot water I use every time I take a bath. My room is situated in the basement. And I swear even in the summer seasons it is cold down here. And I am really used to hot water during my bath, or should I call it warm?
One time at Smiths kitchen, gaping at one personal help magazine…Okay, I was not just gaping, I read it…Fine.
I have read that green tea will be a cure to my long scalp problem. I need to get two tea bags and plunk it in two cups of hot water. I need to wash my hair with these 2 cups of green tea for three consecutive nights and leave it overnight. My dandruff will be gone after this. I hope so.
I already did it last night and have more 2 evenings to go. I’ll update you (if anyone’s reading) with my scalp health in the coming days.

I’ve been here in front of my laptop exactly 40 minutes ago and cannot figure out what to do. I checked my Entrecard and drop some EC, my inbox is fully loaded with FB, Digital Photography School, blog comments and spam notifications and my brain is a kind of needing an overhaul.
Yesterday I was thinking of taking a new leap from my ordinary boring life. Since I cannot ask my uncle or his wife to take me wherever I want to go, they are busy with their life and it’s hard to take a little of their time so I left out fed up with my usual uninteresting life.
I thought that I could ask my employer to send me to the Go bus that will bring me to Toronto. I’ve been to Toronto a few times, I joined my uncle and his family whenever they visit friends but we all spent time with their friend’s house. They, playing cards and I…Sitting in one corner of the living room, if not watching Filipino films, my mind was just wandering or simply thinking of nothing.
Not having my own car yet, new to Canada and don’t know any place in Toronto which is 45 minutes drive from my town, I think this is the best time to get lost and have fun being lost to a city I don’t know.
I know that I can do better than spending my weekend in front of my computer. I don’t want to spend my computer time blogging about uninteresting events and blabbering a run of the mill expat journey anymore.
I am tired of being tired without trying to live a happy life and full of excitement. I am getting old and life is too short, I need to get a life.
Although I am calling some driving school to fill in my Saturdays or Sundays, of course I need to learn driving so I can get away, I am still thinking of what I can do to have fun after week days of hard work. Can you suggest anything that doesn’t need a lot of money to spent?
I would be glad to hear from you guys…if anyone is reading and of course you’ll get a BIG hug from me.

Girls are not girls if they don’t drools whenever they see bags or purse. Okay I admit I wasn’t into it. It is my younger sister who cannot lives without purse. Big sizes, small sizes, black, white…name it, but it silver that she likes most. She usually wait at the big names bag makers to sell their products in discounted prize and together with her hubby, they will go straight to the shop and buy them.
Me? I was just looking…and borrow.
Not until I came here in Canada and got a job of my own that I realize that I’m kind of likes purses and bags too, or maybe my then financial states inhibits me to express any hopes that I can have even a single purse that my sister bought from the well known shops they visit.
Checking bags and purse in lady’s section and catalogues really fascinates me and I buy every time there’s a sale. Even if they are not branded, the quality and the looks (yeah looks) are good as well.
Recently my friend Malen sent and invitation to join a free handbag contest that will give 24 bags in 24 hours as a celebration of their upcoming launch. I was so excited about it and looking at these bags below, I am so into winning. I hope, I get one after the contest.
